In 2012, the youth of Nebraska have a unique opportunity to attend The Big Tent Conference in Omaha in November. Because this conference has never been in Nebraska before, the Buffalo County Youth Advisory Board is promoting the conference rather than coordinating their own summit this year.

The Big Tent is a conference coordinated by the Search Insititute, and focuses on developing the 40 Developmental Assets in youth. Several of the YAB members have attended the conference in cities around the country, and are excited to have the opportunity to attend again, in Nebraska. The specific dates are yet to be announced but we’ll keep you posted as soon as we find out.
